This necklace was inspired by my trip to the National History museum in London where there were many ancient torque necklaces on display and serpent jewellery. I have made my own modern day version.
This necklace is meant to slip around your neck from behind. It sits in place around your neck and does not slide around.
I have used many different semi precious stone chips for the 'snake' head including turquoise, garnet, lapis lazuli, unakite and jasper.
The other end of the necklace finishes in two spirals, in the middle there is a bright blue turquoise bead. The whole piece has been wire weaved to form an intricate pretty pattern.
It's adjustable to any size but would fit best sitting close to your neck.
Copper is very bendy can be easily shaped to custom fit your neck.
