I have made this necklace using recycled copper wire, handformed into a spiral shape and decorated with 'rays' of sunshine.

 

The whole piece has been oxidised to form a dark patina, i have then polished it to show off the copper highlights. The whole piece has been protected with renaissance wax so it won't change colour and it won't stain your skin.

 

The necklace measures 42cm (16.5 inches). It is designed to sit assymetrically across the chest. The metal chain fastens with a solid copper hook and eye clasp which is also handmade.

 

The actual spiral measures 11cm  x 6 cm(4 x 2.5 inches) at its widest points.
