The copper that I use has not been treated with any chemicals and will continue to naturally oxidize over time, increasing it's individual beauty. However if you prefer I can coat the piece in a protective wax so that is will stay in its original state. Sometimes copper can leave a green mark on the skin depending on your skin type, if you prefer this not to happen you may prefer me to coat the item. I can do this at no extra cost, please state when you order if you would like this service.

Healing Properties

Copper has been used in medical treatments for thousands of years for all sorts of conditions. It is said to have antibacterial and antifungal properties so it is used to treat skin conditions.

When copper is exposed to moist air is develops a protective layer called a patina. This is usually a greenish colour and it protects the metal from damage.
