Celtic Triskele necklace

triskele necklace

I have been obsessed with this ancient symbol since I was a teenager. I loved it so much I decided to paint a large one straight onto my bedroom wall in rainbow colours. My mother was not pleased with that, or with any of the other doodles I painted on the wall!
The Triskele or three spiral is a celtic or pre celtic symbol. It is thought to stand for land, sea and sky.
I decided to make my own version of the symbol into a piece of jewellery. In the piece above I used green agate beads as well as copper wire. I have many more ideas in my head of other necklace designs using this symbol.
